Great how to draw book for kids. The drawings are interesting to kids, but simple enough that they can succeed at them. I used this book in a 3rd grade Art Class and I think it was pretty successful. I wanted to teach them how to look for good quality how to draw books and then how to use them. We drew the sailboat together. Then they completed their scene with other drawings from the book or their own ideas.

Our girls love to draw and they have been borrowing all kinds of different drawing books from their elementary school library. They work together to sketch out the different characters and they are both gaining confidence in their drawing skills. I love it! (especially since I am not very skilled at drawing) The characters in this book are more cartoonish than life-like and they are easy for children to learn. The book has a simple format, a fun rhyming narrative and shows how to create ocean-themed pictures and creatures using basic shapes and simple lines.
