This book is listed as book three in the Dick Dewitt mystery series, but I think readers can grab this story and read it as a stand alone also. Dick is a bit of a bumbler and nothing seems to go right for him, including getting drafted when he thought he was too old to be a target of Uncle Sam. The story has a twist or two, but I think the best part of the read is the character of Dick Dewitt, ex private eye and now a soldier with a mission.
