A decent overview of email marketing and communications. The book walks through everything from building your list to avoiding spam complaints to surveying readers to gain feedback.

If you're experienced with institutional emailing, you'll likely find that most of the pages reiterate things you already know, with some nice ideas to pursue mixed in. This book is probably better for people entirely new to email communications or managers with little hands-on experience in the process.

Even at that, the examples here could be a little more inspired--and more detailed about long-term measurements and signs of success. The writing is a little dry, but it's almost nice to read a business book that doesn't honk its clown horn every page for fear of losing your interest.

This was pretty informative & easy to read. It is written by an executive of an email marketing service provider do it does read like a commercial in parts, but most of the principles & methods could be applied using other services.

I have used this service for over 4 years, and taken the Constant Contact Boot Camp course & still found new & useful information in this book. However, this only gets 3 stars because it was for work & there is only so much to be expected for a book about email marketing.

I found this to be a very good book on email marketing, but obviously it is geared towards those who are using Constant Contact as your email platform. If you are using CC, I would say that this book is the quintessential guide to using it, but if you are using another platform, you may want to find another book. This is not to say that you wont glean something from this book, because you will, but there may be better books available on the subject of email marketing.

Great advice especially for CC clients

Concise and well organized. Picked this book because I recently started using CC. Obviously valuable to CC customers but I'd recommend it to anyone considering email marketing.
