Sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph eventually becomes the king's assistant. Now his brothers need his help. Will Joseph forgive them for sinning against him?
It is a nice and simplified story of Joseph of Egypt, focusing mostly on the aspect between him and his brothers. In that sense it is good. The story is very kid-friendly, I may say it is a little too safe, but that may be more down to personal preference. The artwork is very charming and welcoming.
Page 5 has a grammatical error. It says "he loved Joseph the best" when it should be "he loved Joseph the most." This is more of a problem for this kind of story because it is teaching the child bad grammar, and in a story that has very little writing (it is a picture book after all) it would be easy to have caught that.
Great book on the story of Joseph. The words were easy enough for my kindergartener to read and he was able to learn about Joseph and his brothers. The illustrations were very bright and covered the pages from top to bottom and showed what happened as Joseph's story unfolds. My son loved it!
