It is not an introduction to the topic; for that, English language readers will probably want something like Brian Levack's "The Witch Hunt in Early Modern Europe" which is not extraordinarily well written, but covers the subject adequately.

However, if you read German and are interested in specific detail and argument this is a good, scholarly German language book on the topic.
