3,5/5. Easy, light and simple, but still a cute story about friendship and helping each other! Can't deny a good message like that. The illustration were, like the book itself, simple but beautiful!

True Friends is a heartwarming story about true friendship and what you would do for a friend. When Fox meets Goose, she is very sad. It turns out she got separated from her flock and does not know where they have gone. Fox realizes that they have migrated and he assures her that he will get her back to her flock. How far will he go to make his friend happy and keep his promise.

This is a story of an unlikely friendship between a fox and a goose. This would need a discussion about what is real and what is fiction. In this book the students will learn about various types of transportation, discussions about migration would also be an extension of the story. Of course the idea of helping one another and making friends feel better. I really liked the Illustrations in this book, they were adorable watercolour pictures. This story was very touching and heartwarming and it shows what a true friend will do to make you happy. A great book for family, classroom and school libraries. The publisher, QEB Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

True Friends is a heartwarming story of an unlikely friendship between a fox and a goose. Fox finds Goose sad when she’s lost her flock. Fox promises to reconnect her with her flock by hauling her in his wheelbarrow. When that didn’t work they tried by train, then by boat, and eventually they reach the flock!
I especially enjoyed the Illustrations of the geese in this story, they were adorable. This story talks about a few different modes of transportation and also touches on bird migration. I think it’s a great preschool title!

True Friends by Duba Kolanovic is a beautiful journey between unlikely friends of a fox and a goose. The goose has been left behind as his flock has gone South for the winter and fox becomes his BFF (best fox friend) lending a hand to getting him reunited. A story about discovering true friendship and helping others.

I really like how the book includes discussion and comprehension questions at the end to lead a conversation after the story is told. In addition, the author shares two activities: writing postcards home and making a Fox or Goose bookmark.

A sweet story about friendship that I would read with FS and KS1 children. Goose gets left behind by her family and fox goes on an adventure with her to be reunited. After they find the family they ask Fox to stay with them because he was such a good friend. Could start a discussion about what it means to be a good friend and what Fox did which made him a good friend. Nice links to PSHE. You could also like it to science and why some birds migrate at different times of the year.

A cute story with simple but characterful illustrations. Fox helps goose to catch up with her flock, coming up with new ideas every time they experience an obstacle. At the end of their journey, Fox realises that he has enjoyed spending time with his new friend and they decide to remain friends forever.
This is a warm, hopeful story about friendship and perseverance.

"When Fox meets a goose who has been left by her flock, he decides to help her catch up with her migrating friends. Fox and Goose go on an epic journey through the city and across the sea, to return Goose to her flock. Once the chase is over, Goose realizes how much fun she's had with her new friend."

A lovely book that my grandchildren and I enjoyed, and the hidden message about friendship and helpfulness was lovely. The illustrations were beautiful and definitely a book to be enjoyed again and again.

This is a simple story of a goose who becomes separated from her flock. Fox does his very best to help her catch up and the two have some adventures along the way. Fox is then invited to stay with the flock so the two friends can delay their good-byes. This is a nice tale of how friends help one another and stick together and about how groups can include those who are not like them. This book is enhanced with discussion questions and activities at the end making it a nice read for a toddler story hour.

Thanks NetGalley and Quarto!

This book is lovely, the art is simple in style but eye catching and appealing, very cute. The story too is simple about a fox who meets a lost goose and helps him find his flock. Lovely messages about friendship and loyalty and even has discussions and activities at the end of the book which would be useful in playgroups, I would definitely read to my Goddaughter and recommend this for parents.

My 5 yr old read this book to her 2 younger siblings and it was enjoyed by us all.
Very good story. Lots of different emotions were felt by the children. Excitement, sadness and worry. And of course reinforcement that with friends by your side you can achieve anything

A goose has been left by his flock. His fox friend helps him to find them. They go on an adventure looking for the gaggle of geese. After they are reunited, the goose asks the fox to stay with them for the winter.

This is a great story about two friends who help each other out. One, after he is asked and the other without being asked. These are good concepts to introduce to children at this age. The book is not pushy or overdone but casually weaves this theme throughout.

My 4-year-old grandson loved the illustrations and said they were his favorite part because they were colorful.

I received an eBook ARC in exchange for an honest review. That in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book.
