This book has been a good reminder for me to take a few minutes of reflective time every day. The first section focuses on making time for stillness on your own each day. This part is best read just a page or two at a time because each topic is no more than a page so it only takes a minute or two. The second section is about bringing that serenity into the rest of your life: at work, anytime things are going wrong, in family situations, and even when watching TV.

I'm happy that I own a copy of this one, because it has become almost like a reference book for me and I come back to it every few days. The cover inspires a peaceful feeling and the contents, even more so. Really nice book to have.

I certainly do not need an arm twisting to spend time alone, I love my time alone, and because of this I sometimes feel guilty since I am not extending attention to others and their needs. This book has helped me understand how essential time alone is to my health and spiritual growth. It has also served as a guide to make productive use of my time alone such as meaningful reflection, renewing, healing, accepting but most importantly, I have learned the practice being in the present.

By intertwining various religions, the author not only reaches a vast audience but helps us understand others religions and the fundamental needs of humans.

En enkel guide til pust- og oppmerksomhetstrening som jeg hadde godt av å lese! Viktige påminnere å ta med seg i hverdagen, så det blir nok ikke siste gang jeg leser eller lytter til denne boken.
