Really nice look at various techniques by emphasising one block to demonstate the method. Lynne Edwards' conversational, very easy to understand writing style would make this a perfect book for beginners who want to learn as many techniques as possible to practise in a sampler quilt. The one thing I thought was really fascinating was seeing all the different example sampler quilts in different fabric combinations, showing that the chosen blocks are versatile and look so different depending on colours and context. A nice well thought out book that can give a good overview of piecing techniques.
