Thought provoking daily readings. I picked up this book at a second hand store because I was very broke but I needed something to help me get through my CPA exams. I am so happy that I took a chance because the little book gave me just enough "gump" to keep going. I've got to say that it is a little odd in some parts but that kind of just adds to the appeal. I realized that I am not going to like everything in life and that's okay. Sometimes it made me feel sassy and other times sad. But she picks you right back up in the next sentence and it all comes together to prove that life is beautiful even if sometimes you have to go through hell to get there (like studying for the CPA exam - which I passed the first time). I truly loved this book because it was more than a superficial "take a long bath" or "write in a journal (that you will never read)" or have a "special drawer". No, this book is not about stuff its about people, you, relationships, life, actions, thoughts, confidence, loving, laughing, being you. Its wonderful.

Back in elementary school, I pinched this unassuming book of poetry from my Grandma’s house because I was so in love with the lyrical and philosophical writing. It influenced how I would come to write poetry through my life. I still have her copy, bookmark inside, on my bedroom shelf.

I have given this book to my circle of women friends. It is a great book to pick up and pick a page for an inspirational thought for the day!

An inspirational book to read a little bit each day. Every page had a word followed by a short paragraph using that word. Some of my favorite words that come to mind:
accept
bake
bliss
cook
read
thank
There were countless others but these are the one's I remember most. I enjoyed what she wrote by using these words. Quick read or it can be read as a devotional book and read one section at a time.
