I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. **SPOILER ALERT** Patrick loved his family. However, his father, Graham, had him cowering since his mother's death. His sister. Connie, it seemed she was following in her father's footsteps. For five years, Katrina has accused Graham of killing her sister Sarah. She was spying on Graham one day when her car flipped over a guard rail and she was falling to her death when the car stopped on an edge precariously. Patrick and Graham saw the accident but it was Patrick who went out to save her. She was grateful and thought maybe Patrick was not like his father. Meanwhile, there was a problems with magic. Katrina thought it had to do with why her sister died. The story continues Patrick was working on a construction project his father had commissioned. But Patrick agreed to work with Katrina and help her only to prove his father was innocent of her accusations. The partnership becomes deadly important. It was time to put all prejudice aside and find the truth of what was happening with magic and if Graham was indeed responsible for the death of Katrina's sister. A very wild ride through this book. This is my first read on the topic of magic and I absolutely loved this story. It covers social prejudices, greed, mystery, suspense and danger. It is a novella, so it is a quick read. Medium paced and I highly recommend this book.

This is great reading and well written. She is out to avenge her sister's death. He is the son of the one who killed her sister. He sides with her when he see's just how evil his dad is. Together they come together to fight this. It is exciting, suspenseful, hot, emotional and so much more. I highly recommend it. I really enjoyed reading this one. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

I have absolutely adored this series. I love this world and the way we are introduced to new characters in each volume, without completely losing sight of those we have come to know already. Each volume is a surprise, you never know quite what to expect. This one doesn't disappoint. The characters are either endearing, sweet, just plain evil or somewhere in between. It's well written, fast paced, and well constructed. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.

Katrina is ready to kill her sister's killer. Patrick and Katrina start uncovering the truths about his father. I loved reading this series and can't wait to read more by A.J. Tipton.

A Good Conclusion

I was nervous that the underlying problem mentioned in the entire series wouldn't get fixed . . . Until it was mentioned of course along with the cure. I liked it. The story wasn't AMAZING, but it was good and I liked it.
