Critical Choices That Change Lives: How Heroes Turn Tragedy Into Triumph

Rate this book
Have you ever wondered why some people can survive and prosper in the midst of adversity while everyone else around them crumbles? Dan Castro conducted ten years of research into the lives of thousands of people throughout history who overcame extreme obstacles. He wanted to know if they were following any kind of pattern that could help explain their success. After ten years, Dan concluded that they are following a pattern, and that this pattern is both observable and exlpainable. In CRITICAL CHOICES THAT CHANGE LIVES, Dan put the best of the best stories side by side so others could see the same patterns he saw. You will • The patterns that heroes have followed for thousands of years to turn tragedy into triumph. • The three reasons why heroes thrive under pressure while others crack. • What heroes choose to focus on in the heat of the battle. • Why heroes choose their own beliefs even when the evidence looks grim. • How heroes choose their own expectations when everyone else's expectations are low. • The three critical choices that turn ordinary people into heroes. "Make a critical choice. Read this book and change your life." — Robert G. Allen, New York Times bestselling author of Creating Wealth. "This is an amazingly powerful book that can change your life from the moment you read it."—Jack Canfield, co-author of the Chicken Soup Series. "I love this book! It is brimming with uplifting stories and concrete, historical principles for turning tragedy into triumph."—Best-selling author Susan Jeffers, Ph.D.

Bloomberg’s BUSINESS WEEK calls Dan Castro a “serial entrepreneur.” In fact, Dan Castro is an award-winning author, an attorney and serial entrepreneur who has built a law firm, a real estate company, a mortgage company, a property management company, and a training camp that teaches people how to trade options. Dan spent five years researching the lives of legendary entrepreneurs to understand how they think, why they can spot opportunities that are invisible to others, how they assess risk, how they consistently generate innovative ideas, and how they overcome obstacles.

He also spent three years studying the evolution of the human brain to understand exactly why the brain does or does NOT see the obvious.

He is also the award-winning author of the book Critical Choices That Change Lives, which is selling all over the world. after Dan’s book came out, Fortune 500 companies and non-profits everywhere began asking him to share his insights and wisdom in keynotes and workshops, training corporate executives to think and act more like entrepreneurs.

I'm the kind of person that analyzes everything and tries to have the perfect answers before starting anything. Critical Choices empowers people to take risks but does it by teaching how to make decisions. The result for the reader is a path to turning trouble into triumph.

Dated but precedes some stuff by Daniel Khaneman in a more self-help style. Good wisdom all around.

Absolutely amazing! Learned about how to control my thoughts and that the small choices can create big results. All of the examples in history is awesome because not only does it prove what it is talking about but that it CAN be done!

I like how it used examples of real people who have overcome challenges. It helped me realize that I can do more than I first think I can.
