When Nyssa escapes to the Happy Ending Resort with her sister, Siri, after her disaster wedding from her abusive ex-fiance’. She yearns for the love and freedom she’s never known in this world.Heartbroken, she is surprised to meet the handsome Maddox but things aren’t always what they seem in the Happy Ending Resort either.
This adaptation of the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland worked especially well for me and I was very entertained. I loved how the author made the traditional story jive with the modern times and still managed to keep the elements of the original one... in very unique ways. The love story twist kept my interest greatly and all the characters were fun to read (mesmerizing Maddox was my favorite character). There was that right amount of romance and adventure which all the more made it amusing for me. This story would really look good being interpreted on the big screen. Well done, Miss K. Collins.
Down the Rabbit Hole (Welcome Happy Endings Resort) is a unique spin on the Alice in Wonderland tale. After finding her fiance in a compromising position just before their wedding, Nyssa and her sister take off to the Happy Endings Resort. Nothing is as it seems, but Nyssa seems to like it that way. The colorful characters are here and there, but I suppose that is how they are supposed to be. If this sounds confusing, it might be because you didn't Drink It or Eat It as directed. This is a fun story with a fun twist for the ending that everyone will enjoy.
Down The Rabbit Hole Review by Dove and Dragon Publishing: 5 out of 5 stars This short story gives a whole new dimension on a "Wonderland" type book. Tue to the premise of Alice in wonderland ti goes beyond the fantasy realm and brings it to the modern level. Adding real-life scenarios and emotions to a classic story. This retelling is one not to be taken lightly. As such no true fantasy reader should not have it in their collection.
This story was a very unique addition to the Happy Endings Resort Series. Collins was able to blend the usual contemporary theme with a bit of beloved fantasy. I enjoyed Down the Rabbit Hole and hope to read more from this author soon.
Well, this one is something else. :) On her wedding day, Nyssa discovers her soon to be husband cheating on her. She is devasted and a bit relieved too, he was abusive to her through the entire relationship. She and her sister go to Happy Ending Resort, to get away from it all. There is more to the place than it looks at the first glance and when she runs through the wood and fall into the different place entire the best part of the story begins.
Loosely based on Alice in Wonderland it's a lovely and a bit quirky story. I just wished it was way longer. :)
