In the early parts of the book, I wasn't all that impressed. The prose simply wasn't very appealing.
But when the story began to pick up and these paranormal activities tied to ancient Japanese folklore began to occur, I'll say, I actually got a little scared. Though, later on in the story things began to become bland and in the end the book wrapped up in a predictable and underwhelming conclusion.
