Reviled
Soren emerges from his rejuvenation tank to find he's no longer technically alive. Where once he was both Dr. Frankenstein AND the Frankenstein monster, now he's just the monster. All that remains of his higher consciousness resides in the mindchip. Unless he can reanimate his body, that's where it'll stay. But the monster is learning to block access to the mindchip more and more with each passing day. If Soren is not to remain in this state, he's going to have to act fast, and get help. The problem is, he threatened to kill his ad hoc family of paranormals. Now they--including his girlfriend, Naomi--are running scared. Just because Soren is sidetracked with his own survival issues--the monster in him growing darker and more powerful by the day--doesn't mean his arch-nemesis is taking a break. Victor Truman has introduced an entity to the planet by opening a portal over Syracuse, NY that is his most unstoppable yet. People are dying en masse and suffering like never before. And so far, no magic has proven powerful enough to neutralize the latest celestial wizard to come crashing to Earth. The one person who might be able to stop him? Ironically, it's the beast, if only Soren can learn to work better with the ever-more powerful, darker side of his nature. His journey into his own heart of darkness may destroy him, though, long before it destroys the latest threat to the planet.

Kindle Unlimited {should be, not positive, not out yet, so yeah one of my here's a free book would be really nice if you read and reviewed it}, but had read #1 so here I am. Not sure what the genre is, most likely mixed genre.
They teased him for being both Dr. Frankenstein and the monster for experimenting on himself with his low-budget nanotech. But when Soren wakes up clinically dead, what’s left of his consciousness residing on a mind chip, the chastising is no longer just a painful euphemism for the truth. Now, if he ever wants to count himself among the living again, Soren will have to solicit the help of the very people he alienated—his posse of supernatural sidekicks; wizards, one and all.
Even if he can forge the reunion, will his fringe science and the various magics in play be enough to bring him back from the dead? Honestly, that dilemma represents the least of his problems. Victor Truman—the most powerful wizard on the planet—is at it again. The latest celestial wizard he’s picked a fight with is so far out of his weight class it’s terrifying. With an appetite for sacrificing the planet’s best wizards in order to learn from their mistakes how to check the god-awful powers of his nemeses… Well, this time, Victor’s strategy just isn’t working. Victor is hoping that whatever magic Soren can get to work on himself might also be Victor’s ticket to salvation.
The problem with that line of reasoning? Soren’s back-from-the-dead act seems to employ the kind of black magic that gives him more in common with Victor’s nemesis than with Victor. And that definitely tilts the scales in the wrong direction, if hope was what he was looking for.

Received an ARC copy and am providing an honest review.
Reviled picks up where the 1st book in the series left off. Soren, a hero who has used nano tech to enhance himself in a city that has rebranded itself into districts with themes, is dead. His makeshift family, want to help him so the wizard/tech person puts into him some nanites that he thinks will help, and then into a reviving fluid, only to have these nanites take over all of Soren except the mind chip he has placed into his brain to help his memory. The beast that comes out wants to take control, making Soren both Frankenstein and Frankenstein at the same time.
Much of the things that we found in the first book is repeated here. Large expansive fight scenes, plot turns and twists, and yes, even a stream of conscious scene. While the stream of conscious scenes in the book do not work for me, I understand the need and the way they fit in the story. This one happens during a romantic period between Soren and his love interest/mother figure to the family they take in. For that reason I could not recommend this to younger teens as it gets a little to weird.
You may need to make a scorecard to keep track of all the people in this story. Along with the cast of the first story there are a host of others that are introduced. At times I got one character confused with another and had to go back and reread something to make sure I got the character correct. That may have been my problem as I sometimes squeeze reading in when I am a little tired.
I recommend this book to all with the caveats that I have mentioned before. Because of the violence and the weird romance scene it would not be suitable for children. If you like a little science and fantasy mixed together, this would be worth your time.

Asked to write a honest review and not give any plot details away. The book is written for those who love a good book. Dean has managed to include every category a book could cover all under one cover for us to read.
Let me start by saying that the flow from the first book (1st and 2nd release) flow effortlessly.
Depends on the level of technical wording which book you will find more enjoyable.
I have both and enjoyed them both!!!

Soren must find himself within the turmoil of the beast. Either they will unite together or one will die or both?
He finds out who to rely on and who are his friends.

Bk 2 of the Frankenstein Series is a great extension of bk 1 Dean c Moor Has successfully married so many n genres SciFi ,Fantasy, Horror, Comedy, Steam punk, and many others into a marvelous read all of them are seamlessly incorporated together like a well made Swiss watch the reader is transported to Deans world and you fall in love with all the characters almost impossible to figure out who's the bad guy this book is so full of surprised werewolves, dragons, Frankenstein monsters, super heroes, magicians, sorcerers, aliens. other dimensions and parallel universes you name it and and sure enough they are in the Book I Highly Recommend reading Deans C Moore's Frankenstein series 5 Stars

My second read from author Dean C. Moore was again entertaining, yet confusing. So many characters introduced seemingly randomly along the path of the book. The storyline, captivating yet seemingly disjointed. The title. Reborn (Frankenstein Book 1) initially makes a reader think of Mary Shelley's classic work yet the writing seems to have little to do with that other than the name Frankenstein.
Reviled picks up seamlessly from where Reborn (the 1st book in the series) left off. I'm starting to settle into the series, it's well written, the characters well developed and I can't wait to read the third book in the series.

I received a free copy of the book and decided to write this review. If you read the first book and liked it you will like this one. it delves into the back story of most of the characters without disrupting what is currently taking place. Of course there is a new bad guy and after the first book Soren is having some problems with the new nanites. I am going to stop there because I was writing more and started to leave a spoiler and I don't want to do that. It is a good book and when finished you will be excited to read the next book.

Author Moore continues to entertain in this second installment of Soren and Co. (Okay, they're not named that, but it's how I reference them!) In this blending of steampunk, science fiction, magic, and other genres, new characters are introduced and previous characters expanded on.
It's an enjoyable read, and I look forward to reading more of his work.

The story just keeps getting better! It transitions smoothly from the first book as we watch Soren and Naomi and their "kids" develop into a closer knit "family" through many trials and tribulations. Victor continues to be the Victor we have come to know and love/hate. Of course, he still wants to be the king of the multiverse but even he does some maturing, if you can call it that. A very compelling read that kept me engrossed throughout. Can't wait to read the next book. I received a free copy of the novel from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Reviled is the second in the series and picks up where Reborn takes off. While the story continues with new villains, it delves deeper into the characters from the first novel. It is a quick and entertaining read, combining many sci-fi and fantasy styles - steampunk, magic, and so on. The hero is experiencing problems with his new tech as he takes on the threat with his group. Stay tuned for more in the last of the series: Reawakened.

Reviled continues from where Reborn ended. We have a new villain, of course, but Soren (even with split personalities to deal with), Namoi and the gang are up for the challenge. Again, Dean has artfully blended multiple genres as well as continue developing the characters. To fully understand what is happening and how "The Gang" came about, this series should be read in order. I am anxiously waiting for book 3. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Reviled is the second in the series and picks up where Reborn takes off. It's great to see the characters continue to grow and meet new ones. Mr Moore had once again done an amazing job of blending so many genre such ass sci-fi/ fantasy styles,steampunk,and magic to name a few. If you enjoyed Reborn you will love Reviled!

Soren,Victor and the gang/family are back in book 2. Full of action, magic, and a crazy monster Soren, it was just as crazy and wildly different as book 1. Well written and good characters to like and hate, I thought I was right there as everything happened. Loved the twists and watching Soren try to gain control of himself and save the world again. Plus this imaged world of tech is always wild and I never quite knew what would show up next. And Victor is his usual bad self.

REVILED contains a great storyline with a smooth transition from the first book REBORN. The outstanding characters continue to be developed. A very enjoyable read that was hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and series to all 15+ readers. I'm ready to read the next book. I received a copy of this book from the author and was not compensated for this honest review.

I loved this story, which is part two in Dean Moore's Frankenstein series.
It is highly recommended that you read book 1, Reborn first however.
This will allow for an easier time following the story, and it is definately a lot of fun to read as well.

This book flows very nicely from book one. It blends multiple genres wonderfully and has characters that are complex and fun to read about. I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

ARC copy -Book 2 is great and just as good as book 1. It is more dark and more science and more action. Can't wait to read book 3.

The second installment of the Frankenstein trilogy is easier to read than the first book. Somewhere in the melange of textures from: "A Clockwork Orange" / Shelley's "Frankenstein" / Raiders; "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" along with a good portion of DandD thrown in for good measure, the story unfolds, giving some insights into the characters. Their relationships to each other, and their self-discovery of their own personalities and magical/scientific abilities is a good back story. It also introduces a new character.
Perhaps my preference for hard science fiction/military/and espionage hindered my ability to enjoy, or even understand, all the magical twists and turns of the wizards and creatures. I found this a difficult book to read for perhaps that reason.

Second book in this techno thriller series and just as good as the first. Getting away from the amount of detail there is it’s still a good book to read. Recommended.

Coming against a new threat that Victor unleashed on his quest to become the “king of kings in the multiverse of all multiverses”, Reviled is where the monster and the doctor are separate beings taking control at inopportune times and they must learn to cooperate or risk losing it all. Meanwhile Victor brings in a new posse to help as Soren fights with himself. I can't wait to see where this goes next.

Victor, Victor, Victor. Just when the world was getting back to normal . . . or as normal as the world gets that is. Victor gets an itch and scratching causes . . . well, it could mean the end of the world. Unless Soren and crew can save it again. Except Soren isn't himself right now.

Ok, this is just a a “quickie” review as I’m in an endless business trip and don’t have the time to do better even though the book definitely deserves it.
Bottom line: five stars. I loved book 1 in Dean C. Moore’s new Frankenstein series, Reborn, with its crazy mix of fantasy with sci fi nanotechnology. Soren and the cast of wonderfully drawn characters are back in this book 2, Reviled, along with new additions to the cast who are equally strong. Added to another well crafted and strongly written plot and it’s easy to see why I most definitely recommend it.

This world just gets better and more intricate the further each book delves into it. This reinvention of Frankenstein's monster is potentially more scary than the original. It's the kind of book you pick up and can't put down until the end.

I received an advance author copy and was asked to give an honest review. This is my opinion. It is a five star novel. Although it is SCI FI, It covers other genres thriller, general fiction, young adult, comedy - it is a book for all ages and all tastes. I had to put the book down to sleep and read non-stop the following day.
I hate plot spoilers and Reviled has an amazing plot. I was totally caught up with all the outrageous characters. Outrageous as their conversations add to the comedy.
It was a thriller as I was absorbed and almost cheering everyone to succeed.
In my opinion I would give this book to anyone from the age of 15 and can laugh at the world. It is made me want to read it in one sitting. It made me laugh,feel sad and cheer everyone on. This is why I decided the only rating was 5 stars.
