12 works by poet Alex Gildzen - raised in Elyria, Ohio, and currently living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This hand assembled, saddle stitched chapbook features an ivory cardstock cover, alternating cream and white pages, and is the fourth publication by Crisis Chronicles Press. Elyria comprises part of Gildzen's larger work-in-progress, Ohio Triangle. There are approximately 200 copies in print (the publisher has lost count).
Gildzen has been publishing for more than 40 years. Early chapbooks were issued by such presses as Abraxas, Killaly and Ghost Dance. One of his first anthology appearances was in "The Living Underground." He edited the little magazine "Toucan."
For more than a dozen years Gildzen has been writing "Alex in Movieland," an autobiography in the form of a list.
Loved the personal nature and reflections in the poems. Recollections of time spent in Elyria, Ohio are filled with both warmth and humor. Made me smile several times.
