What do you think?

And sometimes I just sits?
Another collection of anecdotes drawn from a lifetime’s experience of peasant agriculture in the North of England. As usual Border Collies, Cattle and Sheep get fair coverage, but it's mixed with family history and the joys of living along a single track road.

About the author
Jim Webster
90 books74 followersOld enough to know better and young enough not to care. I'm married with a wife and three daughters.
Since I left school I've supported myself with farming, freelance writing and some consultancy.
The consultancy dried up a bit so having time on my hands I wrote the fantasy novel 'Swords for a Dead Lady'. This is on Amazon as an e-book. It didn't hurt so I did it again, and 'Dead Man Riding East' is also available on Amazon. A third book, 'The Flames of the City,' and a fourth book, 'Learning a Hard Trade', set in the same background, are now available.
Then as a bit of a change I produced a shorter book, 'The Cartographer's Apprentice' which is something of a 'prequel' to the story of Benor Dorfingil.
The whole 'facebook/twitter/blogging' experience is something I'm not very good at. I'd far rather chat to people on forums, or better still talk over a pint or a really good cappuccino.

This is another collection of blog posts from Jim Webster, farmer and philosopher. The first collection, Sometimes I Sits and Thinks, featured a great deal about the animals, particularly the border collies, that Jim has worked with over the years. This seems to me to be a more eclectic selection, a little more wide-ranging and political even, but nevertheless it shows a fascinating slice of rural life.

Philosophy, general observations and sheep
Another excellent compendium of observations from the back of Mr. Webster's quad bike in which we learn a lot more about sheep, border collies and people. On the whole, I think the collies come out of it best. If you fancy being educated on the ways of the world, with a gentle humour and a nice line in well observed philosophy, you could do a lot worse than this.

Another great collection of bite-sized tales from the author's farming life. (The first one being ‘Sometimes I dit’s and thinks’)
A gentle sharing of observations from a sheep farmer (and his collie)
More wry observations of animals and humans!

I had a suspicion I would enjoy this as I like Jim's blogs, but it was really good - one even managed to make me laugh and cry in the same post!! So good I bought the other two as well.
