This has been our church devotional for Advent 2023 and it’s been really wonderful. Beth Richardson uses deep quotes, engaging scriptures and wonderful short devotionals to focus each day. The best part of each are the “Carry these words in your heart” watchwords for each day. Both the inclusiveness and the accessibility of this devotional make it a great and faithful addition to your Advent.

This is my go to book for my family tradition of advent candle devotions at dinner. we rotate years doing full devotional or scripture reading and just using the group text from the back, or some combination of the two. there's plenty of text to keep the readings feeling fresh from year to year being picking different portions. This is one of my favorite ways to remember what we are celebrating at Christmas and to focus my heart.
