My 9-year-old let me read this to him and he ate it up. It was a fun way to learn some history. It’s a choose -your-own-adventure with a historical setting.

I think this series is fun, but I’d only suggest it for kids at least 8+ as it’s a little scary to picture yourself in these situations.

To be honest, I had never heard of the Johnstown flood but that I am learning could be said about a lot of what has happened in the US. So very thankful for books like this that provide ways for students to access this information in such an engaging way.
