I loved this book passionately for about six months when I was in grade school. I remember curling up on the couch or on my bed and reading it back-to-front, endlessly. Podling 2 and I just finished reading it together, and I have to say that although it's a solid book, it's not the stunner I remember. Of course, I read it back then with almost no ability to critique, and I must have picked it up at exactly the right time for it to have made such a huge impression.
