Excellent read. Gets you in from the start and keeps you turning the pages

I kind of felt like this book was almost too fast paced - I felt like I was just reading about fire after fire after fire without the plot ever really developing, until the end when it all just suddenly emerged and resolved within about 10 pages.

Two and a half stars really. Unfortunately I read the second book first and that was much better than this one. Obviously the author improved.
