What's at the End of this Piece of Rope?

A little girl spots a piece of rope. She wants to find out what's at the end of it, but it's too heavy to pull by herself. One by one, the friendly jungle animals offer to help. Working together, they solve the mystery and discover what's really at the end of the rope.The simple text, with its repeated refrain, makes a terrific read-aloud story and will also be perfect for kids learning to read.

A simple story starting with one child finding a piece of rope and pulling it with no affect. A series of animals, getting larger as the story progresses, try without success until near the end when we see the rope tied to a gate with a jungle behind and a glimpse of an animal in the foliage.

Great illustrated fonts to emphasise effort and different pulling methods, but a fairly bland ending. Soft watercolour illustrations with different layouts and some jungle themed borders, it the inclusion of a kangaroo seems incongruous.
