Revisiting history can be nostalgic, pleasant and as in most articles of this book, harrowing. A collection of facts, opinions (highly biased as would be opinions of first world journalists about third world countries), conspiracy theories and emotions of those who went through this history, this book is worth a read just to remind ourselves of the news telecasts that have all but done and dusted to a corner of our memories, of life in post colonial India to the Mumbai terror attacks.

It took me almost an year to wrap this up, not cos its boring, but it requires that much introspection. Now for some lighter reading :)

A must have book for those who are interested in the history of the region. Some pieces are very enchanting and others fairly boring.
There are writings where you feel as if you're in the thick of things and others which read like dull reports.
All in all, some memorable times have been documented and I look forwards to more in the genre!
