I have written the original of this book in German language in 2004. My intention was to give parents who know the rules of the game but not much more some help to learn chess together with their kids. The book was well received and hat a 2nd Ed. in Germany. I'm not really happy with the translation and layout by the English publisher Quality chess. I think they did a sloppy job. But for parents which has no other source of information it may be still of some help.
The technical progress has changed a lot and an update of the book would be necessary. I'm thinking about making a new one that includes the modern possibilities. Every reader who wants to know more may feel free to send me a mail.
