I love zombie stories, so I gave this one a go and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a realistic setting where a toxic dump is taking place. The characters are quite unique as the two pairs of people are not necessarily ethical people. That adds flavor to the story and added to the enjoyment of it. Despite some errors in the writing, it didn't stop me from enjoying the story. Well done and I will be reading the second book in the series!

This book was written after the movie was shot . The author takes us on a scary roller coaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat . What would you do if you were trapped in a town with 5 other people when the world started to end and the zombies started to come . Would you be strong enough to get out alive . Let me tell you about Jack and Jill and Becky and Tom and how they survived the outbreak in Love Canal .
The characters in this book are very well written and developed Jack and Jill are boyfriend and girlfriend who are out for some revenge Becky and Tom are brother and sister who are the best of friends . They work together to try and get out of the town. They are complete oppisites of each other but they work together really well. They are strong and just get stronger as you read the book .
This was a great read , the author takes us on a journey with such twists and turns. You are on the edge of your seat all the way through this book . I can't believe that he had made the movie before he wrote the book . The author did a great job when he developed the characters and set up the story line . If you want a great story that is also a great movie, You will not be disappointed its a great addition to the zombie genre .

Being a fan of zombie fiction I like. It starts small scale which compared to a lot of the Z fiction stories and film is a bit on the rare side. Set in a real toxic dump where experiments may be taking place. We join a pair of contract killers, lovers Jack and Jill and two joggers, brother and sister Tom and Becky who end up teaming up to survive when the undead come back.
Also joining the mix is Bob a man who still with his wife lived near the toxic dump.
We follow them all on their exploits of survival with some good kills and good characters it is a worthy tale to add to your zombie horde.
On a slight negative which some will pick up and maybe have a good go at is some of the spelling and such. Could have possibly had a quick editing session.

The Love Canal has pretty much been abandoned since the toxic waste disaster so why would anyone bother to go there. Yes, it's quiet for a run or to dump a body that you don't want to be found but 4 people find out that was a really dumb idea. They are now in the fight of their lives against the dead. This is the first book in the series which has also been made into a movie. If you love the zombie/horror genre you should give this series a read.

Zombie madness
Coming from Buffalo, I was entranced by the sights and new sounds of my fair city. Yikes, haven’t been there in a bit, but things have changed. A page-turning extraordinaire world of an apocalypse nightmare. The author does a remarkable job of leaving you breathless and wondering just who would survive. Looking forward to the sequel...and now may wait to head back home for a while. Kudos and superb read. Highly recommend.

I have to admit, this is my first zombie novel. And, I have to say, it is completely different from other books that I have read. I actually enjoyed it. Coming from a horror fan, this book kept my interest. Like I said, it was my first zombie book. I have read vampires, witches, axe murders, haunted houses, etc. I can now add The Plague to my growing list of books in this genre.
I applaud Emir for his creativity, and I have to say, his Facebook is not too shabby with all of his updates on his movie.
