This is a short little history book by Ralph Raico, whom I just recently mentioned in my lrngthy review of Man, Economy, and Liberty: Essays in Honor of Murray N. Rothbard. That was an essay volume dedicated to a birthday of Rothbard. Raico dedicated a very interesting essay on the leader of the German free-trade movement, John Prince-Smith.
This audiobook by Raico is only one of several that is available on amazon. It also has, amongst others, Germany (which I also listened to), Democracy in America (which I’m listening right now) and the second part of this book. That they split this book in half is something that I find to be rather lame, considering the already short runtime of it.
For me, the really interesting things were in part 2 of this book, so I will deal with them in that review. This first part was also good, but nothing really new stuck out to me.
