I think this book was not exactly what I was expecting?
Yes these stories originate during WWI & WWII, and are the types to be retold in a spooky manner, perhaps around a campfire.
But not all of these stories feature spirits and it feels like there's lots of filler here.

Theses stories range from tales of ghosts, UFOs (which me being a fan of also i don't mind, but not sure they all belong in here), remote viewing, fortune telling/seeing future events, reincarnation, other strange occurrences or coincidences, to quite non-paranormal things like secret underground bases and lost gold.

The stories are told as 1st, 2nd and 3rd hand accounts, with also some miscellaneous sources thrown in too (from a collection of other ghost stories perhaps?).
The stories for the most part are quite interesting, and not particularly scary (I'm one who gets shivers down my spine very easily!), and can be short to very long depending on what's being told.

Unfortunately though like some other books I've had by this publisher, there's quite a few typos and/or missing words and some sentences I'm left rather baffled as to whether it's written as the style of the times, or an error.

Overall I think not a bad book, but probably not the most definitive collection of ghost stories of these times available.
