This is the third great "QI Annual" written, drawn, photographed and lavishly blu-tacked together by the many writers, performers and brains from the BBC1 TV series, including: Stephen Fry, Alan Davies, Rowan Atkinson, Jeremy Clarkson, Bill Bailey, Jo Brand, Phill Jupitus, Jimmy Carr and many more.
John Hardress Wilfred Lloyd is an English television and radio comedy producer and writer. His television work includes Not the Nine O'Clock News, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Spitting Image, Blackadder and QI. He is currently the presenter of BBC Radio 4's The Museum of Curiosity.
A great shame the QI annual series finished the book after this one - as they're a solid and glorious set of things. Full to the brim of quite interesting shit (QIS) and brilliant artwork featuring the likes of Hunt Emerson and Roger Law. Also bizarrely the only QI appearance of Rowan Atkinson in photo form. There's a stupendous amount of variety which is, as I understand it, why they stopped doing them. Must've taken an arm and a leg just herding everyone together.
Favourite fact on this reading: "Polishing the king's iron with my eyebrows" is an 18th century expression for being in prison.
This is the third QI annual and my least favourite of the bunch (first here, second here). It's still fun though, there are just fewer sections that really grab me. My favourite part has to be "Bill Bailey's Air Guitar Masterclass".
