Katie Woo loves camping with Pedro and JoJo. Cooking with a campfire and sleeping under the stars is fun! But when it gets dark and the shadows come out, camping can get a little scary.

The friends have a great time camping but ghost stories may be a mistake.

Who is Katie Woo? Katie is a little girl who is Asian-American but is also an integral part of the wide American culture. Katie and her friends go camping. Scary things outside make them nervous, until they find the source. Part of a beginning reader series with chapters.

While I am fairly unfamiliar with the Katie Woo series, I was incredibly underwhelmed by this addition. Very predictable, not very interesting, and overall not a great read.
