Es un libro que hay que leer únicamente si se ha leído el original "Viaje a la Alcarria". Sólo así se puede constatar cuánto ha cambiado España (no siempre, desgraciadamente, para bien) y cuánto ha cambiado el escritor y el mundo editorial: esta segunda parte no es nada más que un producto de marketing para aprovechar la efemérides de la primera. Literariamente no aporta nada, aunque la prosa de Cela siempre se lee bien.

Es un libro muy entretenido, escrito al mejor estilo de su autor, que utiliza un viaje que realmente efectuó a la Alcarria par a dejar evidencia de dichos, costumbres y personajes que particularmente a mi me recordaba algunos de los que aparecen en el Quijote.

Para no entretenerme en arreglar la base de datos, el sistema ha juntado en una sola referencia dos libros Viaje a la Alcarria y este segundo que es Nuevo viaje a la Alcarria.
Este segundo le he leído el 19 de Agosto de 2.007.
