Enjoyable book about an otherwise forgettable season of the 1987 Boston Red Sox....the year after. Author spends much time describing his unease in the locker room and dugout, almost repetitively. It took away somewhat from the story he was attempting to tell (to me) of an every man getting a dream opportunity. Best parts were the ongoing dialogue with Johnny Pesky and Joe Morgan and the chapter about Robin Roberts preparing for the 1967 season which never came. All in all a worthwhile read.
