Met veel plezier gelezen. Wat zijn er veel details en opmerkelijkheden die mij niet opvallen, als ik de evangeliën lees! Over vrouwen als Martha en Johanna; maar ook de focus van de evangelisten zelf.
De opmerkzame blik van ElisabethMolrmann ga ik niet vergeten; en ik ga het boek op m’n werkkamer zetten om er regelmatig even bij te pakken.

Loved the idea behind to but it’s frustrating how much of the stories are inference from art and mid evil tradition or speculation. It highlights how little women’s stories were told - we don’t have much actual information about some of these women at all.

For what it is, an interesting, thought-provoking book. The author has lots of ideas but presents her ideas and questions a little too factual. This was a rabbit-trail read for me. Margaret Guenther quoted it in The Art of Spiritual Direction, and I was intrigued. A better book on this topic is The Marys of the Bible by Boaz Johnson.

overall very engaging + insightful read however there were some points i viewed as contradictory or disagreed with. also there were some points that were unclear but overall super solid and would recommend to anyone interested in religious studies
