Bytheway, It's John: The Second Verse

A great audio CD. In the beginning, John Bytheway worked for BYU Continuing Education, helping people organize youth conferences. When the games were rained out, he asked for a guitar and tried to keep the youth entertained. Eventually, his "comedy routine" of song parodies, impersonations, and one-liners became John's first tape, Bytheway, It's John. Sometimes the rain would last longer than John's act, so he had to keep adding more songs, more humor, and more impersonations. Now his full act has been recorded, and here it is in Bytheway, It's The Second Verse, which includes most of what was on the first tape along with second verses to many of those numbers and several additional songs! Here's what teenagers are saying about John's comedy "I think it stopped raining." "I really don't mind if we get wet." "Can we go back outside?"

About the author

John Bytheway (born October 1962) is an American author and academic, who is well known as a comic motivational speaker for youth within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Born in Salt Lake City, Bytheway attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, receiving a Master's Degree in Religious Education. He also served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Philippines.

Bytheway is a religious studies instructor at BYU, currently focusing on the Book of Mormon. He also serves on the Aaronic Priesthood/Young Women Writing Committee for the LDS Church. Bytheway and his wife Kimberly have six children.
