I bought this book used and was disappointed as soon as I opened it. This is not the book for someone wanting to use fresh ingredients in creative ways. Recipes call for ingredients like Velvetta, steak sauce (yes, there is a recipe for steak that includes steak sauce), ready made salsa, and canned crescent rolls.

This might be a decent book for a young adult out on their own for the first time, if they were raised by overly indulgent parents who prepared all of their meals for them.

Probably my least favorite in all of Taste of Home's cookbook series and the cooking for one/two cookbooks. The recipes just seemed old. I think I found numerous recipes to try, but I wasn't as enthralled with this one.
