A very revealing look at the 'unseen' Bruce Lee. Part of becoming a legend is the fact that people forget that you are human; that you had struggles that you had to overcome to be the legend you are. I see this time and time again when reading about Bruce Lee; that 'transcendence' has so completely set aside who the 'man' was. Great to hear his opinions in his own words.

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend

This guy, Brucee Lee, was quite wise and smart! I previously didn't know that he loved to write. One of his quotes "To change with change is the changeless state."

Short collection of quotes. Interesting guy and so much more than a movie star.

Short read but loved the lessons learned. This is a great book to revisit as the lessons are timeless.

bought this book thinking it would be a novel type but it's just quotes of his wisdom. Not necessarily disappointed since I got something that was far more interesting and inspirational. I find my self looking and reading the quotes at times to give my self inspiration and a different out look to life and it's very calming. The blissful wisdom gives a better sense of understanding to life from someone who grasped it in a very comprehensive way. Bruce Lee is a inspiration to me, he was a great person and
I hope to be similar to him one day but in my own way.

This is a book of quotes, so it's hard to review it. If, like me, you find Bruce Lee to be an inspiring person and want access to some of his more profound quotes without having to carry around multiple books, this is a great resource.

This book is beautifully composed of simple lessons and words for the wise inclined. The main goal of this book is provide readers with a simplified insight into encouraging words on determination, life, and being positive minded. It would make for a great gift or for inspiration in use of daily affirmations.
I hope you enjoy the sincere lessons Bruce Lee has to share with you.

This book was simply terrible, I really enjoyed some of Bruce Lee's philosophy but what I received with passing phrases and lots of pictures. This was on Kindle Unlimited so at least I didn't buy it. Good for a very quick read, there may have been 70 pages but I read it in less than 10 minutes. The premise was great, although it was poorly executed.

A collection of Bruce Lee quotes.
All very good and tie in with mainstream philosophies in the areas covered.
Good to dip into every now and then for inspiration and encouragement, but at the end of the day it's simply just a collection of quotes.

Something worth reading more than twice.

Technically, this is might not qualify as a book, for it is only a collection of quotes by the Master. But then it carries a library full of wisdom.
A definite multiple-time read.

Such a cute and motervating book. It a nice size to carry with you just in case you need a little bit of Bruce. The pictures go nicely with the words.

There are some simple, brilliant sayings in this book and Bruce (can you call him Bruce without the Lee?) was an archetypal example of the contemplative warrior-poet.
Just was with other "meaningful gift books", it's rate. Warrior of the Light: Storm of Swords paperback: $7.99 / 1177 pages = ~.7¢ per page. $14.99 / 134 pages = ~11¢ / page. Wisdom for the Way: $17.99 / 70 = ~25¢ / page.
At price-per-word it's even more ridiculous than Warrior of the Light which had maybe 125 words-per-page while I'll be this clocks about 30. So, it needs to be 160 times more insightful word-per-word compared to Storm of Swords for the price. Again, maybe it's about efficiency since I read it in one brief sitting.
All that said, again, it was loaned to me as I would never have bought it.
My favorite quotation of the book: "To change with change is the changeless state."
That sentence is somewhere between 1-2% of the book's content.

"Wisdom for the way" is a pocket-sized "gift of inspiration" book put together by Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee of her father's own writings.
The world knows that Bruce Lee was the king of modern martial arts but that he was consistent in penning down his thoughts as well may come as a surprise to many as it did to me. Given his persona and field of mastery, it is only natural that Bruce Lee would be perceived as a tough guy who must have only bothered about wins and records.
But as I went through the quotes in this book, I realized that Mr. Lee thought deeply about life and human values. He thought of himself as a human first and a martial artist second. Through his self-written quotes, we can appreciate the serious thinker that he must have been. His advice on self-inquiry, expression, and finally actualization is deep and hard-hitting.

I absolutely love this little book. It’s something I’ll carry with me as a source of inspiration and reflection. The pictures, aphorisms, and quotes are like nuggets of gold—small but incredibly valuable. While there’s nothing earth-shattering here, as a lifelong fan of Bruce Lee, I can hear his voice in these lines. Through these passages, I see both his immortality and his mortality, a reminder of his enduring wisdom and human essence. This book is filled with guidance and profound insight—simple, yet deeply impactful. A must-have for any Bruce Lee admirer.

This is a pretty slim volume and a quick read. If you are familiar with other works of Bruce Lee, then you will have heard quite a bit of the content of this book before. Still, it's an entertaining collection and I would highly recommend it to people who are new to Bruce Lee or just unfamiliar with his work.

I enjoyed the quotes and the pictures in this book. I will always remember watching his movies and loving everything about them. This book shows you a little about the way Bruce Lee thinks.

This along with the Bed of Procrustes is the best book of aphorisms that I have read. This is a 1000 times better that reading some self-help junk.
