Charming, amusing and perfect light holiday reading. Can’t wait for the movie adaptation! And please when can we expect the sequel?!

Good Men Should Know Better rattles along, taking the reader from one glamorous location to another, rather in the manner of a Bond film, but one we can all join in. The hapless Bristo Trabant gets caught up in Secret Service activities that he's totally unsuited to - at that point it could have turned into Mr Bean or Austin Powers, but fortunately Bristo's a more sympathetic character than that.

Dominic Canty can't resist a joke. Some are good while some are (presumably intentionally) very bad. There is a lot of word play and amusing descriptions. Characters are either honourable or very bad, but all memorable. The action is fast-paced and well described, with almost cartoon-like sound effects.

I would recommend this as beach or commuter reading, as well as for getting teenage boys who are reluctant readers into a longer narrative.
