It's Not About The Money.

Okay, I am ready for Mr. and Mrs. Black. It's about time. I was nearly overwhelmed with the depths this couple would go for one another. It ain't about the money. Its Just Love.

Note: This is part of the Black's Series and should be read in order. I did not follow directions.

Cinnamon Lee Dubois Brown is quite the woman. She has her family, career, husband and lover.

Yes. I said LOVER!

William Brown is the husband to have, if a wife desired to fool around. Handsome, well-to-do and a sexual animal, he can't seem to stay away from having affairs. Cinnamon has caught him in the act, warned him and had an affair of her own with the man Brown loves like a brother: Malcolm Black.

She fooled around with Black for a couple of years and decided to work on her marriage. Black respected her dedication and gave her space. Brown was aware of their antics, even though he was doing the same thing. Fed up over Brown's current conquest, Cinnamon has finally drawn the line, asking him to leave.

Brown is devastated, thinking his jig couldn't be up. He leaves their home and no sooner than he's out, Malcolm is waiting in the wings to console the lady he loves.

Angelia Vernon Menchan has written a very easy-to-read, drama-twisted novel with plenty of insight. This book can be read as a stand alone work, but reading the series in order is highly recommended.

The order of the Black's Series is as follows:

1. Cinnamon's Universe

2. Brown's Possession

3. Mrs. Black?

4. The Black's: Love's Politics

5. Friends, Family and Foes? (A Malcolm Black Novel)

6. Aura Brown: Life Choices

A Love Worth Waiting For!! 🥰🥰

I absolutely love everything Cinnamon, Malcolm and Center City!! I believe I now have all of Mrs. Menchans books, but I just haven’t read them all and certainly not in sequential order! But that’s okay because once you know The Blacks and family, it’s all good! And this story was definitely ALL GOOD!!

Malcolm is finally going to marry Cinnamon and he discovers he has a son, something he has always longed for! Now, imagine everything that comes along with that!! If you haven’t had a chance to read this, now’s a good time to grab this series and start indulging! You’ll be glad you did!! As always, Kudos, Angelia!! 💜💜💜

This story picks right up where the last book ended. Cinnamon and Brown are still having a loving marriage. Black and Cinnamon are still in love, however now their relationship is platonic. Black decided to take a step back two years ago and he's been celibate for 18 months. Brown has been forewarned, that this is his last chance. Brown tried, however has usual his arrogance and insecurity will get him in trouble.

Aura has come into her own, however Muha is discovering, he may be more like his dad than he thought. Cinnamon's decision to finally divorce Brown reveals her children's emotional maturity. The road ahead is a bit bumpy, as they try to get use to the changes in the family dynamics. Add to this the surprise revelation that Malcolm has a son, whose Mama is a old cougar and it set the stage for even more drama. Brown discovers to late that you really don't miss your water until the well runs dry. Khadijah is still mousing around, hopes that Brown will somehow come to love her. The poor child is delusional. Cinnamon and Malcolm push full steam ahead working towards their dreams and Malcolm can honestly envision Cinnamon as his wife.

I have truly been enjoying this series. The characters are as interesting as ever and the love between Cinnamon and Malcolm seems to grow even stronger. This was a page turner just like the other book and I find it hard to between I finished it, in one day, between working. Definitely a Must Read series!!

A Joy to Read

“Mrs. Black?” by Angelia Vernon Menchan is a truly enjoyable book. At the center of Mrs. Black? is Cinnamon Brown. Cinnamon is a complex woman who is embroiled in a love triangle with her husband of more than thirty years, William, and family friend, Malcolm Black.

Cinnamon's marriage to William is stressful to say the least. William is continuously creating problems in their marriage. William is slightly envious of his wife's achievements, coupled with the fact that he has had several indiscretions in their marriage. This makes Cinnamon vow that the next time will be the last. When William does the ultimate, will Cinnamon finally leave?

On the other hand, Malcolm Black has been patiently waiting in the wings for the lovely Cinnamon. Malcolm loves Cinnamon unconditionally and he supports all of her business ventures. Malcolm seems to be the ideal man, but Malcolm has some drama of his own. Will a secret from Malcolm's past affect his future with Cinnamon?

Ms. Menchan did a terrific job of creating believable multi-dimensional characters. Mrs. Black? was a pleasure to read and I was all too happy to review it. I see big things in store for Ms. Menchan. Congratulations on a job well done.

I was afraid that I was going to read this out of order, but I did.

Having said that, this book is a page turner as you enter the life of Cinnamon Brown and the man who had a crush on her since their teen years (Malcolm Black).

Without giving away too much of the book, the message you'll gain out of this book is that it's never too late to love again.

I look forward to reading the books before Mrs. Black (within this series) along with the follow-up The Blacks.

I cannot stand William Brown. I wish he would move to Liberia somewhere. He's a complete idiot. He wouldn't know the first thing about love. Obsession and control? But not love. I'm so in my feelings. Gotta get to the next one......

Cinnamon has two men who love her but only one can give her the love she deserves. With decisions that will alter the lives of those close to her. This is a really good book.
