Has a brief history of St. Louis viewed through the lens of the names of its streets. I found a lot of interesting anecdotes, but I think the "book" would be better served by a clickable website of street names. It is low on narrative but high on tidbits.

Very “inside baseball” St. Louis book- if the reader is from here, the reader will most likely appreciate the minute details shared. If one isn’t from here, this comes across a little dry due to so much data. However, it’s a good reference book. There are sprinklings of lovely vignettes of local lore throughout. Overall, this is an interesting book about how St. Louis is set up regarding street names and county boundaries.
