Samantha Hunter grew up in the Finger Lakes Region and now resides in Syracuse, NY with her husband. She showed early interest in being a writer when she signed her name as the author of an encyclopedia when she was seven years old. As an adult, she has published over 25 romance and mystery novels with new ones on the horizon.

Sam loves to travel and is always inspired by the places she's been, sharing her experiences with readers through her stories. She is also a serial hobbyist and volunteers for local animal shelters (which means she's always trying to figure out how to take more dogs and/or cats home!).

I really enjoyed this book! a lot more than I thought I would..I don't exactly know what I was expecting, but not this.. it was equal parts romance, erotica, action, adventure, mixed with a little bit of mystery.. I really enjoyed the characters.. I found myself rooting for them! What made this book not just any old romance was the cop action.. which I really enjoyed as well! we got to see some of the investigation!
but on the flip side.. I found some
parts that I would have liked some more info about.. it would go from one point to another and I didn't know how they got there or what they did or had to go through to get there...
Overall really cute story.. loved it ..
I had a hard time rating it because it almost deserves a 5 but then when I compare it to some of the other books I've read.. it just doesn't stand up to them... 4-4.5 stars !! This was an awesome find.. of all the Harlequin novels to find at a library book sale, I happened to stumble upon a hidden gem in my opinion.. I plan on trying to find the other 2
books in this "mini-series". can't wait to read them!

EJ Beaumont is one big flirt. Not exactly the best trait for a cop, but it's an asset on his current undercover investigation for the HotWires team. He's flirting big-time with sexy online psychic Charlotte Gerard, who's reportedly running a lonely hearts scam. He is going to nail her cute butt but good!

Charlotte can sense there's something special about her newest client, Ethan Jared. All the cards point to the fact they will be passionate lovers--soon. But it's the hints of danger troubling her most. And when she's forced to run to him for protection, can she really trust him with her heart and her life

Family can be a source of pleasure or problems. Charlotte isn't sure which her newly found brother is at the moment. But chances are looking good that he's her problem. A big one, in the form of a hit on her life. A well written romance, with more than enough mystery and safe houses that make it very interesting. Couldn't put it down. 5 stars.

the reason I say it's only ok instead of liking it is the heroine in the story.. i'd have been WAY more pissed off about the crap she ended up going through.. both at the hero for lying to her and sleeping with her the way he did and at her brother for what he'd but her through.. I may not have been so angry as to cut contact, but I wouldn't be so almost instantly forgiving either. Otherwise it wasn't too bad
