This was weird, but perfectly Spongebob. If that makes sense. The plot makes no sense and everything is weird but that's just like any given SpongeBob episode. If your kid likes SpongeBob they'll probably like this book.

Great book missing some of the TV shows charm

Great book to read to your kids(or even yourself) about teamwork. It's off beat for a SpongeBob book but it's still a good read!

For a SpongeBob book this one was actually a nice read. I personally don't like SpongeBob and feel the characters are to hyper and just 'out there'...but I read the books and allow my two special needs teen age sons to watch him and listen to his stories since they enjoy him so well. Some of the books I've just had to cringe to get through but this was not one of them.

This book the crew need a soccer team and Squidward is suppose to be the captain but SpongeBob unknowingly takes over and recruits several friends to be on the team and tell them how to play although he doesn't know how to play himself. Squidward does get a little jealous but soon overcomes that. And in the end they all play together as a team and learn from one another. Great lessons to teach children!

A little slow, but gets two stars for showing the lesson, working as a team. Not labeled, but I'd say it was a strong level 3 book.

I'm not a fan of sponge bob but my son is, but I have to say that out of all the sponge bob books he has brought home from the library, I actually kind of liked this one.
