The Mind Of The CEO: The World's Business Leaders Talk About Leadership, Responsibility The Future Of The Corporation, And What Keeps Them Up At Night
The Mind of the CEO offers unprecedented access to the most dynamic business leaders of our time. Reading this book is like being at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland -- not at the formal presentations but in the hotel bar afterward, where the microphones are turned off and world-famous business leaders say what they really think. Better still, their confidant, Jeffrey Garten, interprets what they say, telling you how their views relate to each other and the world economy, and noting the many important things left unsaid. A revealing glimpse into the future of business, The Mind of the CEO captures as no other book before it what is in the minds of top business leaders and what it means for all of us.

The book started off well, however it did tend to drag out towards the end. The content of the book is very much based on leadership, strategy, execution, management and global business. The book is well written with Jeffrey Garten's own ideas as well as the people he has interviewed. If you are interested in business academia then this book would suit you well. If you are more into entrepreneurship and start ups then maybe not so much. I did enjoy reading it and if Jeff brought out a new book I would probably read that too.

Some good things, but mostly outdated (being a 20 year old book on the future of the business world).

Whilst there is nothing revolutionary in this book, it has some useful points in regards to business and how business leaders need to interact with their environment in order to succeed in business and to benefit society as a whole. Worth a read, although slightly outdated now.

Started off well and had a great concept but was very dense.
