Tirumfall Trilogy #2
Child of Prophecy
Child of Prophecy was originally published as Child of Evil. The text remains unchanged. The story started with "Fall of the Western Kings". Now "Child of Prophecy" continues the odyssey of Gant, the hero who killed Varg with his magical sword Valorious and who must now use his strength and cunning to find and neutralize the child prophesied to lead the demons of the western kingdoms to victory over the people of the east. Other characters accompany Gant to Ferd, the city where the child will be born. Amelia is a shape-changer who flies to the west to do reconnaissance only to be captured and imprisoned. Pris, the emperor and blossoming wizard, worries about the evil forces and knows the child cannot be allowed to unite the demonic powers. His untested magic will be key to stopping the impending doom. Dalphnia, Gant’s wife, is a woodland nymph who can control the trees of the forest and is determined to see her husband come through this journey alive. Can this unlikely group intervene in time to stop the child and the carnage that is sure to follow? Will it mean killing the child? Resolving this moral dilemma while outwitting the demons and getting back to the safety of their homes makes for a rousing adventure. "Child of Prophecy" is the second book in J. Drew Brumbaugh’s fantasy series, The Tirumfall Triology.

About the author
J. Drew Brumbaugh
12 books116 followersI live in northeast Ohio where I write sci-fi, fantasy, and suspense novels, along with a few short stories. Mostly I write stories I think I'd like to read with characters that are interesting enough that readers want to find out what happens to them. I also spend time building a Japanese strolling garden in the back yard, and taking walks in the woods. I have nine novels in print, the most recent being "Broken Albatross," the third in the Galiwee Visions series, plus a collection of short stories, and a co-authored children’s book. A brand new fantasy trilogy is in the works and should see the first book coming out in 2025. I love hearing back from readers so please feel free to send me your thoughts.

Oh so so good!! This book did not disappoint! I enjoyed book two of the trilogy just as much as book one. I’ll definitely come back for book three. A little disappointed I guess that this story is only a trilogy as I feel it could go places.

In this installment of the Tirumfall trilogy, we start off the tale four years after the first book finished in Gant and Dalphnia’s house as he waits for Pris to arrive for his usual visit. As Gant is watching for Pris’s approach on the pathway through the forest and worrying that he has been waylaid in his travels, he hears a knock on the door and is shocked to see Pris there and he is reminded of when they first met and how he loved to play pranks on people. As Pris explains that he has been studying magic and he has used it to travel to see Gant, he is able to do more now, than other wizards in the past, however, it does take a toll on him and as Dalphnia is still out in the woods, Gant asks what it is that Pris has been doing, Pris goes on to talk about events in his empire and how the populace want his as the Emperor to solve all of their problems for them, this, plus his worries about the other kingdom over the mountains where the Demons are still causing a problem.
When Dalphnia returns and they have said their hellos, a golden light begins to appear and strengthen and turn white until it becomes almost blinding and a woman appears within the light. She is familiar to Gant, as she has appeared to him once before and she then warns them that a child is to be born across the mountains and that this child is destined to unite the forces of darkness who dwell there. The child in question will be born on the darkest night in Ferd, the capital of Scaltzland and deep into the heart of the demon territory. As she leaves, she finishes the prophecy by saying that this union must not come to pass and that they must do something to stop it as she is unable to do so herself.
After the lady and the light disappear, they continue to talk about this upcoming event and ways in which they can stop the demons getting the child long into the night. They discuss all the possibilities, where the child will be, how well it will be guarded and by whom, as well as what they can do once they have the child, as killing it is not an option. They realise that it is only two and a half months away and that they will need some help with figuring out the plan and they know exactly who to talk to.
They travel to see Abadis and Amelia where they figure out a plan and prepare to head out to Ferd, as long as they stay together, they can use each other's strengths and weaknesses to their advantage. As the journey progresses, they keep running into obstacles and barriers, but fortunate events as well lead to some ways to make progress and keep spirits high from some unexpected allies.
This is another epic journey through dangerous lands with friends, foes, magic and fights, all the things you want from a fantastic fantasy tale, so go on another exciting journey with Gant, Pris, Abadis and Amelia and see what comes to pass!

Child of Prophecy is the second book in the ‘Tirumfall Trilogy’, and the story continues a few years after the end of book one, ‘Fall of the Western Kings’. I would suggest reading book one first where the characters were introduced and their backstory’s explained. In this novel our hero Gant continues his adventures and this time he must find the “child prophesied to lead the demons of the Western Kingdoms to victory over the people of the East”. Going with Gant on this exciting but dangerous journey is woodland nymph and his wife Dalphnia, Emperor, wizard and friend Pris, and shape-changer Amelia. Although they seem like an unlikely group of heroes they have already proven themselves before when Gant defeated Varg with his magical sword Valorious in a previous battle in book one. However will they have to kill the child to stop the carnage that will follow the child’s birth, or can they outwit the demons without killing.
This is another epic fantasy adventure by J Drew Brumbaugh and like with book one I felt totally immersed in this story due to the authors wonderful world building. I loved the main characters, and felt like I was back with an old friend, Gant. However all the characters are fascinating and well defined and all bring something different to the story. The authors detailed descriptions really made the story come alive and the plot was action packed and full of drama which had me gripped. I was hooked from page one and felt the narrative flowed well making this an enjoyable and engaging read. I look forward to the final instalment of this classic fantasy adventure trilogy.

Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2)
By J Drew Brumbaugh
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh. It is a story that includes action, danger, magic, and comradery. A prophecy is about to come true that has Gant and those with him springing into action. A prophecy about a child that will lead an army to victory over Gant and the surrounding lands. Read this book to find out the full story of what happens. This story is fast-paced and has plenty of adventure. I love the character of Gant. He is someone that you want on your side of the battle. I also loved reading about additional characters such as Amelia, Pris, and Dalphnia. They have been brought forward from the first story. Many other characters help in this journey. It is awesome how the characters care about what happens to each other. The book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The author does an amazing job of making the story and the characters come alive. I felt like I was right there beside them. There are unhappy moments as well as touching ones. Don’t miss out on the second book in a wonderful series. It is exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend reading it

Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh
This is the second book in The Tirumfall Trilogy and the epic fantasy continues. I again found myself lost in the pages and before I realized I had finished in one sitting. I was drawn in from the beginning I couldn’t put it down. I will say if you haven’t already read the first book in this trilogy I highly recommend you do as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on and help with the characters back story. Get ready to be taken on one heck of an Epic adventure as Gant and his friends set out to save the day once. This time the prophecy of evil places fate in there hands. Find out what happens next in this fast paced action packed story that I highly recommend reading. I I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh. This is the second book in this Tirumfall Trilogy and its just as good if not better than the first. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first to get a background on all the characters. Its the continuing story of Gant & Pris who are trying to find a child prophesied to lead the demons of the Western Kingdoms over the East. This time Gant is leaving behind a wife and son so the stakes are a lot higher. Along the way they are joined by several characters who are determined to stop the prophecy before its too late for all of them. Along the way they encounter magic, wizardry, shape shifters and many other characters. Will this rag tag group of characters find the prophesied child before its too late and will they be able to stop it without having to kill the child. Read Child of Prophecy to find out!

I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in this series. I highly suggest reading book one before this one to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that has details that made me feel as if I was part of the story. The characters made the story easy to read and kept it engaging to the end. There is much going on in this book but the author did a great job of keeping things understandable. Grant’s story continues in this book. He takes you on a magical adventure that will keep you turning pages. I highly recommend this book, find out what happens to Grant and his group next.

Child of Prophecy (Tirumfall Trilogy Book 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh is a fantasy story. There are a lot of moving parts to this story and the road is not always easy but the journey to find the prophesised one to lead them to victory is a must. This is a fast paced tale with magic and danger, action and hope, magical beings of all sorts and so much more. You need to read the first book, Fall of the Western Kings of this trilogy as the story continues on. This original fantasy is vividly and richly outlined and is a well woven tale. It is easier to settle into this story earlier than the first as we have gotten to know the characters and the authors writing style.

Child of Prophecy (Tirumfall Trilogy #2) by J Drew Brumbaugh
Another great read by Brumbaugh. Child of Prophecy is a fantastic read. Brumbaugh knows what to do to entice a reader.
Gant is off on another adventure, but this time he's leaving behind a son and wife. The Lady in White shows up with news. Gant and Pris set off on another adventure.
Gant is following his guy and has to go get help. The quote I chose for Gant is: “We had a visit from the Lady in White. The same one we saw in Pogor tower. She says an evil child is going to be born in Scaltzland. A child who will unite the dark minions against us."
Highly recommended for paranormal readers.

Child of Prophecy (Tirumfall Trilogy)
by J Drew Brumbaugh
This is the second book of this trilogy and it is a great adventure. It is my suggestion you read the first book before diving into this one because this one picks up where the other one leaves off. It was wonderful to have characters from the first book in this one and to meet new ones. The author did an excellent job bringing me into the story and keeping me entertained. I kept turning pages needing to know what was going to happen next. I felt like I was along on the adventure with these characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Epic read! Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh, is a story about everyday folks. They are heroes, wizards, humans and wood nymphs, but they are just ordinary folks standing against evil. What I loved the most about this excellent tale is the plan. They had a great plan. Wizards, elves, wood nymphs and humans…what could go wrong? Anything that could go wrong did. You find yourself pleading with the universe…please, please just let it be right this time. This is a rip-roaring action-packed novel and I loved it.

Just right amount
Yes the child is born. Evil runs into trouble. But Grant, Pris, over come their troubles together. Peace for a while. But the story does not end. There is a well balanced of battles, evilest of demons, love and good solid characters. Must go to the third to see how the babe turns out.

Child Of Prophecy by J Drew Brumbaugh is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy. This book is a fantastic follow up to book 1 and continues the story that you fall in love with. As soon as I started reading this book I was transported right back into this world and the characters that you get to know in book one. The book is full of adventure and fantasy and really is exciting to read. After enjoying book one so much I didn’t want to be disappointed and I was so pleased when the author delivered yet another high quality book. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book and I cannot wait to read book three.

Child of Prophecy by J Drew Brumbagh a fantastic four-star read. This is number two in the Tirumfall Trilogy and picks up a little while after the first, it also starts with a bang and drags you straight into the story, straight into the drama and action. They could both be read as stand-alone, but if you read them together, they build the story and the drama, and just make them both more powerful stories. Gant and his friends bring the story to life, they pull you into the story, you become part of the prophecy and number three cant come soon enough, as I need to know where they will end up.

I was so excited to read Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh! I thoroughly enjoyed book 1. If you haven’t read Fall of the Western Kings yet, I highly recommend you do before starting this story. It is a dramatic fantasy, with action, adventure, magic, prophecy, danger, moral dilemmas, and high stakes. I cannot wait for the 3rd book!

Taking place a little while after the events of the first book, Child of prophecy (much like its predecessor) wastes no time in getting started, sending the reader straight into the next adventure. In place of an evil leader and a terrible demon prince, Gant and friends must rush to intervene on a prophecy of a child that is fated to lead demons to destroy the Western Kingdoms.
As always Brumbaugh writes well, keeping the reader hooked and wasting no time in moving the story along, at no time do you feel like you are stalling and in this way, the novel always keeps its urgency. I enjoyed the fact that many characters returned in this novel, and that they remained true to themselves whilst still growing and maturing in light of all that they have been through.
This instalment of the series really gripped me, and I actually think I enjoyed it more than the first one. All of the characters had their own adventures and honestly, the way their stories converged I feel was masterful on Brumbaugh’s part. I was addicted, I literally couldn’t wait to know what happened to each of the characters next. I also was fangirling so hard throughout this book, I won’t say because spoiler and all that, but me being me managed to pick up a new ship and I am hoisting the colours on that one till the next novel is sitting in my lap. I genuinely cannot wait to read the next instalment. I really feel like this one gripped me quicker than the first one, Brumbaugh had upped his fantasy game with this one, could not recommend this series more.

Child of Prophecy is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy by J. Drew Brumbaugh. It is a dramatic fantasy, full of action, adventure, magic, demons, prophecy, danger, moral dilemmas, and high stakes.
This follows on from Book One, so if you haven’t read Fall of the Western Kings yet, I highly recommend you do before starting this story. There is a lot of important backstory and character information to be found in the first book which will enhance your reading experience here.
We pick up with Gant and his friends a few years after the events in the first book, as they set off to save the day once again. A prophecy of evil places the fate of the world in their hands and thrusts them on an epic adventure.
As with the first book, this is quite an original story, and once again the world building was well developed, richly detailed, and entirely believable.
Thank you, J. Drew Brumbaugh!

Child of Prophecy is the second book in The Tirumfall trilogy from J Drew Brumbaugh. I would personally recommend that you read book one before diving into this one as it does flow right from there into this and looks as if it will continue on into the final book in the trilogy, The Key to Tirumfall. These books have taken me on quite the adventure but I do have to say this one has to be my favorite so far and really took me away on a magical journey I didn’t want to end. We find Grant once more on quite the adventure that will take the reader away to a magical place with dragons, wizards, and action that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat as you read. I really felt immersed as I read and I love when a book can do that, especially a fantasy. I am anxious to see how things come to a climax and fold up in the last book, The Key to Tirumfall!

This is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy. The adventure of Gant and his friends continues. The world of fantasy and adventure is safe since they successfully defeated evil in the last book. Its is another fun filled adventure, full of magic and mystery. The worlds that are created are so well written that you can actually believe that you are there.
However their peace maybe short lived when a visitor warns Gant of a child that is to be born. This child will end the arguments between the forces of evil and team them together.
Can Gant and his friends stop this child's birth or intervene to make the child a force of good instead of evil? Or will they need to prepare themselves for another battle against the forces of evil?

This book is the second book in The Tirumfall Trilogy. I highly recommend reading the first book in the trilogy because it will give you all the background information that is important to know. I love the descriptive writing of J Drew Brumbaugh. He paints a beautiful picture and the scenes flow together. The characters in the story fit each one perfectly. I could not imagine them any other way. There is fantasy, action, magic, demons, prophecy, and some tough decisions. The story continues Grant’s story. It has been a few years and not Grant and his friends are back and on an adventure. This time there is a prophecy and it is an evil one at that. The fate of their world is not looking good. I highly recommend this story to see how Grant and his friends do with the prophecy.

Brumbaugh’s Tirumfall trilogy is shaping up to be very epic and grand. This second installment picks up where the first left off so is best understood and enjoyed within the context of the series. However the imagery and character development are so rich that they stand well on their own. With another epic quest and battle of good versus evil, fantasy lovers will enjoy the world building Brumbaugh provides in these pages. Have thoroughly enjoyed the series thus far and look forward to reading the next book!

Child of Prophecy by J. Drew Brumbaugh is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy and was a great read! I enjoyed reading this addition to the series much better than I enjoyed reading the first book. The series definitely gets better the further it goes in my opinion! The storyline was better, it seemed like the timeline made more sense, and there were even better characters introduced. I immensely enjoyed reading this novel and can't wait to read the final novel in this series.
