My favorite is Black, White, Gold Monochrome and Meaning in the Art of Louise Nevelson was my favorite essay in the collection. It got to the heart of what I wanted to know without ignoring the artists past

This is a book one dips into rather than reading right through. The essays are a bit heavy going perhaps, but the pictures of Nevelson's amazing sculptures are wonderful. I'm so glad I saw the actual exhibition when I was in San Francisco
