Nostalgia speaking here, but I had a good time. And, darn it if I don't smile every time they use their trademark moves.

As 20-year-old comics from small-publishers go, this is quite readable. The strength of the Street Fighter brand has always been more about the colorful characters than about any particular plot, but there's no reason why the two couldn't go hand-in-hand. I don't know the franchise well enough to say whether this is faithful to the story that was expressed prior to these comics, but either way this does a decent job of tying together the iconic characters without making them feel too cramped or having too much of the anime-main-character-syndrome of having them overshadow the rest of the world.

The art is pretty good, although occasionally there are unclear sections of fight choreography. The digital color work is showing its age, but there might be some nostalgic appeal to this style. The fan-service-y style that distracted from the plot of the later Udon Darkstalker series is slightly more restrained here. Probably to an appropriate level (depending on your sensibilities, of course).

Not very deep, mind you. But I liked the artwork and the worldbuilding despite, or maybe even because of, all the cliches in the characters and the setting.
I know next to nothing about the game, its lore, or its characters but as an introduction I found this easy to follow and definitely entertaining.
I would have preferred something a bit larger, though. The art, and the fight scenes in particular, lose quite a bit at digest size.

The story is shallow, and the pacing isn’t the smoothest.

The art is great, except for the stereotypical sexualization and objectification of some of the females in the comic. C’mon, it’s completely unnecessary for us to see up some of the women’s skirts. Disgusting.

Not continuing with this series.

Solid

The art was obviously done digitally and lacks character. The story itself is good enough to showcase characters Street Fighter fans love, but it's not nearly as inspired as something like Street Fighter II: The Movie, nor does it match the exceptional tone of that film. It's "good enough."

Really fun. I expected poor writing and overall quality and was pleasantly surprised by how true the author stayed to feel of street fighter and it's back stories

It's no masterwork of sequential art or anything, but definitely a must for fans of the series. Characters are likable, fights are accurate, and many major players get big roles.
