A dead body is found on the side of the road, mistakenly identified at first as Memory Smith. Memory Smith wasn't that victim but she did find herself having trouble with the same intruder breaking into her house or where she worked four times. Her brain working overtime and adrenaline rushing through her she found a way to escape each time. But why did this man continue to pursue her? What happened to the wonman run over and found at the side of the road? Memory finds she can trust Assistant D.A. David "Mac" McCann. Does he seriously care or is she just a conquest and an ego boost? Author Sharon Ervin answers all these questions in her novel , Memory in a well-developed story with many surprises. I enjoyed this novel and plan to look up more books by Sharon Ervin.

Mistaken identity takes on a whole new meaning when a woman is killed and everyone thinks it's Memory Smith. She hasn't been run over but somebody certainly has thrown a punch at her and Assistant DA Mac McCann wants to know what's going on with his former classmate. Did someone really mean to kill her? Memory is an odd woman but Mac is drawn to her and the mystery surrounding her supposed death. As you might expect in romantic suspense, an emotional attachment between the two of them soon takes on a life of its own but Memory may not survive long enough to see what might develop with Mac.
