When I first saw the title I thought it was a book giving the Other Boleyn Girl treatment to the Book of Kings. Then I saw the cover art and realized my mistake.

There’s like, a thousand things wrong with this book, just as there about a thousand things wrong with the plastic wrapped snack food at the checkout counter. You don’t really need either one, one being chock full of calories and chemicals, the other chock full of clichés and stereotypes, but oh, are they both oh so delicious when the mood hits you!

So you’ve got the man on the run after being wrongfully accused, the naïve virgin, Evil Indians, the Wild West in all its boom town dusty glory, and an entire brothel full of hookers-with-hearts-of-gold. A fun ride on the ridiculously inauthentic West.

2.5 stars. This was an all right book. It started off slow but got better. I wouldn't say that it was witty and charming as the book cover claims but it was ok. It was only 2 stars but it got better so I gave it another 1/2. It's light and kinda ridiculous and I chose to read it because I enjoy the word Jezebel. I am not sure that I will employ this strategy in choosing books ever again. Also, the word jezebel was not used at all in the book. This girl wants a better life for hersef and sister and joins a wagon train going west. Where she falls in & out of love with an outlaw pretending to be a preacher.

Given to me by a BookCrosser in Georgia. I did start this while up in the mountains, but never seemed to be able to finish it. Love the cover and the title, though!
