Cuba: Anatomy of a Revolution

Rate this book

For those who think Castro or Che are evil: read this book and THEN formulate an educated opinion of your own regarding Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution. please, its a vital piece of recent U.S. and world history that is grossly misunderstood and is currently being recreated in another part of the world by the same U.S. military complex.

Good little introduction to the Cuban revolution written at a time (1960) where the victory of the people still seemed potentially tenuous and the question of all-out economic and/or military intervention by the US was up in the air. Interestingly Castro had not yet declared Cuba explicitly socialist at this point.

insightful approach to the reasons and on the ground realities of the 1959 Cuban Revolution. Having never learned about Cuba, Fidel Castro, nor the history of the struggles of the Cuban people, I came a way with a more advanced understanding of the complexities of this unique country.

I think writer was not as objective as mentioned in comments. However, I enjoyed their opinions. İt was a very good reference to have short look at the revolution
