The book does indeed provide a lot of facts about Finland as the title suggests, however, there were often paragraphs of names rolling down the page. I understand that Eskola wants to mention well-known Finnish personalities across the aspects explored, but, the names need to be shortlisted for easier reading.
The addition of photographs throughout made for a much more engaging read and I appreciate knowing a lot more about a flourishing culture on the other side of the globe. As this was published in 1991, I'd love to read more on the modern society of Finland.
