John An Introduction to His Life and Works traces the life and thought of John Knox in a succinct and readable way. While a number of biographies tell the story of the famous Scottish reformer, professors Kyle and Johnson take the reader in a different direction, offering an interpretation of his writings. They take a chronological approach to his works-leading the reader through his early years, his exile, and his return to Scotland-allowing them to speak for themselves, an approach that also tells the story of Knox's life and ideas.

Easy but thorough read. The references are worth the price of admission!

Readable for the lay person. A great introduction to Knox and his writings with history of the Protestant Reformation. I would recommend this work for the freshman seminarian.

This is more a 2.5 out of 5 than a 3 out of 5. It does give a pretty good overview of the life and work of John Knox, but at times (especially in the closing chapter) the authors sort of take up the cause of Knox, but only doing so through dismissing various scholars assessments.

Wow. This was just terribly written. The same point was reiterated on every page... I have never been more gutted to spend $3 in my whole life. If you wanted to learn about John Knox you should just hit up Wikipedia.. surely that gives more insight to who he was and is more entertaining...
