Truda Mordue studied art at Poole Art School, and Bournemouth College of Art, and achieved considerable success at portrait painting in miniature.
From 1957 she exhibited at the Royal Academy and other art galleries for several years.
Her interest turned to wildlife painting, and the Medici Society published her animal and bird pictures as greetings cards. She also wrote and illustrated a number of books in the 'Medici Books for Children' series.
She lived in the West Country where she and her husband, John, shared a love of music and gardening.
