How Do You Get a Mouse to Smile?

Rate this book
Join Lyle as he goes to great lengths to make his new pet mouse smile. He juggles balls, trips on his own feet and even tumbles backward into a can of paint to entertain his furry friend. Children will laugh out loud as Lyle s hilarious attempts become more and more outlandish. He barks, and quacks, and clucks and moos, but in spite of Lyle s buffoonery, it is his little sister s calm ingenuity that makes the mouse beam from ear to ear.

This was a rhyming book. There was a group of kids who were trying all sorts of funny things to try and get Lyle's little white mouse to smile. None of it was working. After running out of ideas of ways to try and get the mouse to smile a little girl came along and told the boys that they didn't have to do all those silly things to try and get the mouse to smile. She told them all they had to do was say chees. The mouse put on a huge smile.
